Is it okay to remove my pickguard for my Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst?

Is it okay to remove the pickguard for my Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst, and whether or not I'm fine with the fact if the finish line when the striker is removed, how I can fix or cover up scratches on it and how well that treatment or equipment to cover and repair cost? PLEASE ANSWER!

I do not see a real problem with removing the pickguard. It is of course there for a reason: to protect the finish of wear. Removing it is almost certain to get scratches. Repairing a finish is delicate, and a ray of sun (black money) it will be harder. If you are lucky to be only scratching the surface can be polished with polishing paste. If or when you put the striker back, probably hides most * * damage the finish. Here's a suggestion: Create a clear pickguard * *! The striker seems to be quite easy to reproduce. Remove the black and follow up on a sheet of Plexiglas. If you can not recover the original mounting brackets, it will be easy to recreate with a trip to a hardware store. The plexiglass finally show scratches, but is less visible than the black that is now .... and you can always try.
