Hall of Fame collecting vintage guitars

Over the past two years, the guitar market vintage has a coup here and there, but overall has proved a good investment for most. Experts say that when inflation accelerates and the dollar shrinks collection prove to be a good place for your money.

You might wonder if a guitar can actually be a good investment. After all, to the untrained eye, most of the guitars are the same. However, the right guitar may be worth much to a collector. Guitars that have been owned by celebrities, , or that are rare or unusual, can reach high prices. If you're worried about getting a return on your money, do not. vintage guitars have consistently performed with more stability than the stock market. There are a number of reasons to collect vintage guitars is an excellent strategy.

On the one hand, there are more tangible than a stock or bond. They give you an attractive piece to display, and are fun to catch, too. Guitars also do not lose value over time. In fact, the opposite is - Vintage guitars always gain value as they grow, as long as you take the time to keep them in good condition. Instruments are also generally higher. If you a musician, as well as an investor, you will appreciate the superior action and tone of a real vintage instrument. The most popular vintage guitar collectors is probably the Gibson Les Paul.

Here is a little example: Let's say in 1959 you had $ 100.00 if you were to bury the $ 100.00 a coffee can in your backyard or into your bank account and leave it there for drawing a couple percent interest, inflation would take this $ 100.00 and if you throw them 50 years later, we find that only $ 100.00 you get a good dinner for two. However, if you have taken the same $ 100.00 and has gone to his local pawn shop in 1959 and 1959 took a Gibson Les Paul guitar and put it in the closet instead then you could get her out of her closet today and will a value of more than six figures.

People are beginning to realize how these instruments from the 50s 60 and 70 really means to our culture.

There is a very limited supply and still seems to be a high demand for these pieces of history that has proved a good choice for those who have invested in these instruments, such as the Gibson Les Paul and Fender Telecaster and the Stratocaster is from the same period. (50, 60, and 70).

A good place to begin collecting guitars vintage as an investment would focus its research on the collection of guitars from the list below. This list includes those who have been inducted into the Hall of Vintage Guitar Magazine of Fame. There are, of course, other lists and other guitars worth the investment, but it certainly is a great place to start. Two great places to start your search for these instruments are exquisite Bob's Vintage Guitars and Best Guitar Shop in http://www.bestguitaronline.com http://www.best-guitar-shop.

In the coming weeks, I'll be with each of the instruments in exquisite detail. This information will be useful in your search for vintage guitars that will a good return on your investment.

Fender Stratocaster
Installed in 1990
The Hall of Fame VG began in 1990 and had little doubt that the start would be among the first instruments selected for inclusion by our readers. Three single-coil pickups, a vibrato (in general) and that large contoured offset double cutaway body. Some 50 years after its introduction, it remains one of the most popular designs.

Introduced in 1934, with its 18 "body and luxury features, the Super 400 guitar was bigger and more expensive Gibson line. If you play rockabilly, it is better to have one of these! Chet Atkins Hollowbody Introduced as in '54, 6120 before leaving the "G" brand and scale of the first Western versions, but never lost the western end of orange or cool accent.

Rickenbacker 360/12
Installed in 1997
What was good enough for George Harrison and gave us the tinkling jingle of Roger McGuinn. That's more than enough to the 360/12 to be the only 12-string in the Hall of Fame Vintage Guitar.

Martin D-45
Installed in 1998

Gibson SJ-200
Installed in 2002
A benchmark for acoustic flattops, the SJ-200 was designed for the cowboy guitarist Ray Whitley, and any self-respecting cowboy to play one. Its popularity led to more than other genres, and never lost. Since its giant size, light sun-finished body puncher its ultra-luxury, bridge and headstock, it was considered the consummate flat top. Emmylou Ask!

The 1954-'56 Custom Gibson Les Paul

Gibson ES-5
Installed in 2006

Fender Jaguar
Installed in 2006
Jumping in the car acceleration Fender in 1962, helped the company stay on top throughout the decade, with its fancy tailpiece vibrato new, sophisticated electronics, and (usually) a funky custom color. Gibson J-45
Installed in 2007
Martin "Dreadnought" flat-tops were large and dominated the market for guitar 1930s. In the early '40s, Gibson knew he needed a large flat top to compete, and J-45 ("C" Jumbo, "45" indicating the price in dollars) it was. A 16 "flat-top round and shoulder, even in difficult moments of its release, received a warm welcome and has since remained one of - if not the - most popular Gibson guitars.

Gibson Les Paul model (Goldtop)
Installed in 2008
Les Paul tried for years to convince Gibson that he needed a solid body on your line. Finally, Ted McCarty experiment received a guitar just cutting them for approval. Despite its origianl bridge / tailpiece was far from perfect, the instrument served as a testbed for Gibson through the years 50. Finally he reached the summit between guitars and now sits among the top collectibles.

Gibson SG Standard
Installed in 2009
For 1960, declining sales of Gibson Les Paul had to seek reform of the guitar. So the company created a radically redesigned body, much thinner (and lighter!) Designed to better compete with Fender start. But things that were his heart and soul - especially its humbucking pickups - continued. Today The first version of the 60s is a true classic.
