Has Gibson Les Paul Special 1958 black?
I'm looking for a good guitar, and someone offered me a "black 1958 special." I have not seen yet. I looked on the net, but I really find differences and yellow sunburst television .. Was it because, if so, how are they worth it? Thanks Jack
unlikely that the source is a very special -58. They were never rendered in black as far as I know (never heard of one). If this proves to be an original (I doubt), then color and the price is ridiculously high (as in tens of thousands of dollars). I guess it's an instrument restored - particularly the ruins of the guitar and is often due to a structure (not professional) guitar repair - or what is not a Gibson at all. Are you sure this is not an Epiphone? They have black special, I think ... If I were you I would be very, very skeptical. If they say it is an original and raw want money for it, should pictures, etc. and checked serial numbers to places like Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. If they try to transmit a low-cost original value, ask yourself this simple question: Why Why? There are many thieves out there, so be careful ... Unless it is thoroughly reviewed by someone who can look for repairs etc.
