It's a great guitar! Epiphones are well made, great sound and cost a fraction of their faces Gibson cousins. The necks are a little on the thick side, which can make a challenge to play, but if you're starting on an Epiphone, have greater finger strength and dexterity of one who began to learn on a guitar neck intestine. That means you will be able to pick up and play any guitar, while some of us find it impossible to play certain brands because we are accustomed to small small guitar necks.
