Is it worth to change my Epiphone LP Special II?

I am considering replacing the pickups in my LP Special II some Seymour Duncan humbuckers. No But since it is a starter guitar, I'm not sure if its worth it. Should I go ahead with the Ministry of Defence or just save and get a new LP?

I have a slightly different opinion. What is important to me is that A) the guitar plays well, B) the guitar tone I like, C) that builds enough not to crumble. Everything but the neck and the body can be exchanged with enough time and money ... so if the neck plays well, if the guitar can be configured to feel well when I play, if the guitar has a nice tone ... then why do you want a new guitar? All new guitars under $ 600 that I have ever played waste-picking action, and many of the more than $ 600 too. It is rare to find a guitar that can not benefit by getting new pads ... Indeed, this is one of the easiest mods to do to his guitar to get a better sound! For example, I bought a LTD EC-100qm. It took me less than $ 300. I took it to my shop Local guitar, and spent $ 300 upgrading with new pads, custom electronics, a preamplifier, a new set of strings (elixirs, 11), and now serves as silk and sounds like distant thunder! You simply can not buy a guitar that sounds like this stock ... you have to pay for the tone ... and you have to have some knowledge, and someone who knows wtf they are talking about. For me, the work of Derek and company in Guitars Bigfoot in Smokey Point, WA and Tommy of Tommy's Guitar Shop in Everett, WA I have benefited greatly with age. His work has been the highest quality, extensive knowledge, supported distance and by years of experience, and are good people to boot. I've been very fortunate! For those who care, the guitar has a basswood body. I put a Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 in the bridge and an Alnico Pro II in the neck, and a circuit board custom stamp (Bigfoot Derek on guitar) and some other minor Tommy mods. I recommend looking up these guys if you live north of Seattle and want a high quality work done to your guitar! Saul
