Epiphone Sheraton Guitar Center

Epiphone Sheraton is for me?
I have really wanted to get a hollow body guitar, semi-have a variety of tones. I play a lot of metal / grunge and alternative bands (Nirvana, Van Halen, Foo Fighters, Interpol). I wondered if I could get and maintain good tone for that sort of thing because crap now I have only $ 250 Epiphone Les Paul 100Series. I am left handed, so theres not much variety. But I'm looking for an update and I'm not looking to break the bank ($ 700 maximum), but I will not add more waste into the trash with the purchase of something like an epidemic period. I have to make a decision within a week due to Guitar Center is having a great business right now and will end on March 1. Help please !!!!!
Ok, this is fun too I'm trying to decide between Lucille and Sheraton. let me give u some information about i two have collected from Ive seen hundreds of videos and thousands of things I've read. 1. The Sheraton as you know, is a semi hollow electric. It has two F's at the top, do not buy it because of how good it looks to me like these almost did. You said that you play a lot metal and alternative. I learned that the gain / distortion through a semi hollow comments, may result. Now trust me not to comments. 2. Because it is a semi hollow doesn't have a panel of Axcess back. which simply means that if the input jack comes loose and falls inside the guitar, as he did with someone on yahoo answers, you have to manoevered through the f holes to fix. 3. Basically any modification of the electronics have to be made through the Fs, because there is no access panels. That was the negative, the positive is that any semi hollow. Now here is my recommendation. Epiphone Lucille BB King Lucille or not Fs, such as BB King wanted. This reduces the feedback so you can play with more distortion. And if something is loose or to modify the electronics is a Axcess panel on the back. 3 The Lucille unlike the Sheraton has a Varitone switch with 6 positions. Each one increases the frequency of sound produced, thus causing a higher pitch. Using this you can get anywhere between a humbucker sound, (including) or melody single coil. Since you want a variety of tones this could be best achieved. On the bad side of Lucille (for you, maybe, I love this) only comes in black, with an elegant white binding on top and back of the body, neck and headstock. I love it. So the choice is yours, those are the main features of both. Failing that you do not understand what I said especially if ur a newbie, then go to guitarcenter and try both out. I will probably have a Lucille Because I always change my violin and guitar so that the access panel for me especially because I will not put my finger through the hole in f. If you need any quick and when i say fast I mean within a day, help then http://forums.epiphone.com create an account and ask me directly. I always check my account so that I can help in an hour or two (I'm saying this because you mentioned sale within yahoo answers can be very unhelpful, sometimes) right at the forums to go to epiphone electric and you will see a lot there or you can search for me (the name is slasher1319) and send a message in my inbox) if you have any problem in deciding suggest posting in my inbox and you will directly a response. my username is all the cards. If you do not need more help then good luck with ur new guitar. Oh yes, and most importantly the cost of the Sheraton and Lucille is the same $ 699.
