Installing humbucker covers for guitar?
hello, I was considering installing these, http://www.guitarcenter.com/ProLine-Humbucker-Pickup-Cover-2-Pack-100240952-i1170592.gc , Humbucker covers my Epiphone Special II to give a fresher look and tone trebley. I looked at the procedure for installation and it seemed easy enough, although I I've never had the guitar modding experience I have some experience in welding and I think I can. However, one concern I have is the neck strain. Installation of the two covers will take an hour or more and I have heard that leaving a guitar without strings for a long time is not good, is there any way to overcome this? or will it be good for both time without strings, and also some installation tips to be helpful, thanks!
I installed a lot of gathering of tapas and main ensure that the top holes in the line to cover well with the pole pieces in the pickup.While that are more or less universal there might still be small differences. As increasingly trebley tone, which usually does not happen. There will be little or no change in tone except maybe smooth out a bit. As chains go discount problem.Sometimes I recommend that I have to leave the chains for days at a time and never have problems because of it. After all that what a trussrod is for, keeping the neck stable. Hopefully you have access to a vise, this helps a lot. Keep covered in depth in the press for not warp or bend out on you and if you do not have problems. Good luck.
