How to get sound on my guitar Randy Rhoads.?
I want to play crazy train like Randy, I have a Epiphone Les Paul and a Jackson RR. For an amplifier I have a Line 6 Spider II 75 watts. How should i set my amp well to get the sound right, what pedals would be better and the guitar would be best for him, I know that is a Randy Rhoads Jackson, but I think the Les Paul sounds more like that in some parts of the song.
From what I read in the recording of notes and interviews, Randy uses a Les Paul for the majority of "Blizzard of Oz" and about half of "Diary Of A Madman." His Marshalls were the Super 70 was the opportunity. The cabinets were a bit unorthodox, containing Altec Lansing Celestions rather than general. Lansing is most commonly found in PA systems back then. The cabinets were carrying in order to increase the bass output. Another key component of their sound was a MXR distortion + pedal. Finally, remember that Randy triple track recorded almost everything (including themselves). Reproduction of this element of their live sound will be very difficult.
