Epiphone P-90 Pickups
What guitar should I get for $ 500?
What would you recommend buying the guitar for around $ 500 plus $ 50 or less? I have an Ibanez RG350DX now and I hate it. I like it for the solos, but for the power line is crap with stock pickups. Alos the tremolo that never is tuned. I was looking at a 56 Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop, but some say, the P-90 is not good for metal. I was also looking at the Schecter Hellraiser with EMG, but I heard it was not good clean. Game: pop, rock, hard rock, metal bit. Bands playing are: Guns N 'Roses, Franz Ferdinand, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Rise Against, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, and Theory of a Deadman and some more. What guitar for about $ 500 should I get? Should be good for the solos, power chords, tapping, well for the fragmentation, crying, etc. Please do not Fenders.
I definitely go with a guitar ESP / LTD. You can get a lot of different tones, especially if you get a guitar playing with the coil, which by the pull of a knob, they split the humbucker pickups to sound like a single coil. ESP guitars are excellent for rock / metal, etc and a great sound when playing clean. Actually own a custom CD-1000 ESP LTD Deluxe. The EC (Eclipse) series is a great choice for this kind of music. The body style is like a Les Paul. I probably recommend the Ford EC-256 for only $ 400. I played one, and it was fantastic. Ideal for all types of music!
