What is wrong with my Les Paul?

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. When I play sometimes when I turn the switch, the guitar loses volume if still sometimes play fast in 1 or 2 seconds, and may take longer. Is the switch and worn? Just in case where my amp is Fender Frontman 212R (In case some of you know if these amps are bad site or anything). Thank you and if you know something please tell me, love my guitar and not have to change his or something

Although you can always pick-up can fail, I would check the pickup selector switch and exit points making first contact. Expose the wiring in the guitar back, and clean the electrical contact surfaces with a cotton swab and alcohol. Make sure the contact points to establish a firm connection and compare all the child loose or broken, which could help the issue. I do not think the amp is at fault because the problem only occurs when you change pickups. Let me know if I can help others. Sincerely, Dana
