Epiphone Jumbo Acoustic Electric
The Acoustic Guitar Right for You
When buying anything, the first thing we ask is how you can find the best. The same thought process applies to acoustic guitars. The answer is that there is a better acoustic guitar to buy. Choosing the best acoustic guitar player depends on the individual and their needs.
Naturally, when you think of guitars, some common names come to mind immediately. Gibson, Fender and Ibanez are only some of which they arise. All have a quality instrument and each has a low-end models and high-end model.
Gibson makes a guitar very well in all types. The materials, craftsmanship and overall quality are always there with Gibson, so based on a brand name only basis, Gibson would be a great option. The same could be said Fender and Ibanez as well.
There are other luthiers (guitar makers), available as Takamine, BC Rich and Dean. Ovation makes a fantastic instrument acoustics and acoustic / electric models. Epiphone is a division of Gibson that uses Gibson brand quality with a tag for the lowest price.
So that with all these options and choose brands, what is the best acoustic guitar out there? As I said before, the answer to that question depends on each player. Like anything else is a couple of souls who are looking for. In essence, you are looking for a musical soulmate.
The first thing you want to consider is comfort. To obtain this down, go to a music store and play several acoustic guitars. You'll find some wide-necked and some with narrow necks. This depends on body size. Body sizes are generally classified, in order, as the size of travel (small), battleship and Jumbo. Try one of each in the size to get an idea of you need to play.
Playing should be natural and comfortable. If you have smaller hands, perhaps an acoustic tour will be sufficient and there are some very good out there. Most often, the battleship is the guitar of choice, however.
The next thing you want to consider is the quality of tone. This will depend on the material that forms the guitar. There are lots of different materials and, yes, this affects the price. Obviously, a guitar that has an ebony neck will cost more than a rosewood neck. I would not pay a whole lot of attention to the material. Just play and hear the sound of this instrument. A tone Goodwill kind of ring to the ear.
One of the decisions will have to make is whether to use nylon strings or steel strings. Most often, nylon or gut strings used for classical music. The steel strings are more common and provide a more rich, in my humble opinion. The steel strings come in a variety of gauges from ultra light heavy. The sound emitted is lightly affected by measurement of the rope, but not dramatically. Other players will dispute this, but I found this to be true more times than not.
Generally, you want to find an acoustic guitar that is comfortable to handle, has the right neck width and provides a rich, called tonal quality. The only real way to do it is to play by itself. To choose the best guitar for you depends entirely on, well, now. You decide what is best for your style of play.
Do not be pressured by the big names and flashy displays. The most important thing, not just buy the first guitar noise you see. All are beautiful and worth noting. Focus instead on how the guitar feels, sounds and responds to you. When you find one, you'll know. That sounds a bit mystical and is a kind of mystique. Is there a link between player and instrument. It's almost like looking for a partner.
The price is probably serious consideration, so here is what I suggest. Get a figure head of what you want to pass. Think economic and spend only what you can afford to spend. Acoustic guitars are available in a wide range of prices from as little as $ 150 and up to $ 10,000. I have seen some $ 250 acoustics that sound as good as $ 1000 instrument. The idea is that you do not have to blow their life savings in a first guitar.
