Why choose an Epiphone guitar?
Epiphone Bass's story goes back more than a century. Founded in 1873 by Anastasios Stathopoulos. Gibson Guitars took him through the hard times of the company in the Second World War. The brand and models have stood the test of time and maintains a reputation as one of the best guitar models in the world.
The name comes from the nickname owner of the company, Epi and the Greek word for sound, telephone. The two words Epiphone combination proved to be one of the most trusted names in the guitar industry. The first guitars were made by the company in 1928. They an unusual shape are recognized and characterized by AE alphabets. The 1930's saw a rivalry between two great companies, Epiphone and Gibson trying to outdo each other by presentation of new models on a regular basis.
Epiphone Guitars was brought by the parent company of Gibson Musical Instruments Chicago in 1957. That produce the same basic models and styles of guitars. Most guitars are made with the Epiphone Les Paul or SG body shape. Other designs, such as Gibson Flying-V or Explorer also the Epiphone versions. Epiphone Guitars are mainly aimed at amateur or students who love a Gibson guitar, but can not justify the high price. Epiphone models became the focus of producing decent quality instruments at a lower price.
One of the reasons that make Epiphone is so great that have been making quality guitars for years. It just means you can expect a certain level of build quality of its Korean manufacturers. All his guitars tend to be fit and excellent finish, before being sent to various stores.
Epiphone guitars are made at a high level, but differ from their counterparts Gibson. Most likely to be made in the Far East rather than the U.S., less use grade laminate or wood and has different hardware and electronics. For starters, these differences are negligible, but for professional guitarists, it may mean that some items, such as tablets may require replacement. Each of these guitars produces rich sounds great character and a unique heritage. Epiphone Guitars create most styles of music from classic jazz to heavy metal.
Playing an Epiphone is not a commitment. Regardless of the differences with Gibson are classical instruments with a solid tone. They can cost less than their cousins Gibson, but are clearly good guitars. So if you're buying an electric guitar, you might want to see a first Epiphone.
