Acoustic Guitar Problems?

I have an Epiphone-AJ-200SCE. When you want to connect to my Marshall amp, but when I put the cable into the jack guitars, a loud buzzing noise coming from the amplifier, as not to make a good connection. The problem is that the cable is as far as you can go. Does anyone know what is wrong? Do I need a different type of cable? Am I doing something wrong?

make sure your shots are screws, as well as cable. try another cable. if this fails, try another amp. then get what needs to be fixed, fixed.
