I am receiving an average entry-level guitar.?

I've been playing for a few months old my dad epiphone acoustic and it's time for get an electric. I am particularly interested in 70, 80 and early 90's hard rock. I'm looking for a Mexican base starts or an average epi les paul. any reccomendations on guitars. oh and by the way I also follow the advice of the amplifier. I have to stay Undr as 5 or $ 600 w / o the amp. I love to start fender or gibson American real, but its just out of my budget

For extra money, the American-made Stratocaster is the only one to buy. Models Korea and Mexico are as cheap as a whole. The American will last a long time. If you are on a tight budget, Yamaha actually makes some decent guitars. Ibanez too. But I would like to avoid the outer defenses and Gibson knock-offs.
